My goal as a teacher: get more people (you!) to relax, have fun, and dance (with confidence).
Before I started dancing seriously, I always wondered why people did not dance. Furthermore, why did they not try and learn how to dance. After I started dancing seriously, I realized that it was the area in which I lived that looked down upon the act of dancing (or used to). Second, no one knows where to go to learn. Third, no one does it enough to give an other person a reason to dance.
That’s where I want to come in. I want to give you a reason to come out and learn to dance, dance the dance, and teach the dance. Which dance you say? Together with my partner, I teach a variety of things:
- 1900′s swing era dancing: Charleston, Lindy hop, solo jazz
- vernacular dance: Argentine tango, blues
- fusion: Blango (blues x argentine tango)
- pure dance: study of movement
If you are one of these people that feel like the world should dance more check out what types of lessons I teach and where they are then contact me to get started. I’d love to have you in my class.
